This Solar Light is completely unitized in a small, environmentally sealed housing; there are no external battery packs or solar panels. It also has no internal moving parts, no wires, no openings or O-rings. Due to its unique construction, the light will withstand collisions, submersion, vandalism, vibration and many years of intense sunlight. Once mounted, the light requires no further attention for up to 5 years.
Using microprocessor technology, the light automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn. There is also temperature compensation for battery charging and a low battery shutdown feature to prevent deep discharge.
The light will charge under most weather conditions. Even in the event of extended bad weather, it has enough capacity to operate for up to 11.5 days (at 13 hours per day) without ANY additional solar charging.
